(Thanks to the UCLA School Mental Health Project for this item.)
Welcome to Toolfind from United Way! Toolfind is a free directory designed to help professionals in youth-serving programs find measurement tools for up to 11 youth outcome areas. Your time is valuable, so we have identified 46 tools to help you get started. All tools address one or more of the outcome areas, are tested, low-cost and have few restrictions. Tools included in this database address elementary, middle and/or high school students and youth, parent, staff and teacher respondents.
- Freshmen Pathways
http://www.cpec.ca.gov/OnLineData/FreshmenPathway.asp
(Thanks to Brad Walsh for sharing this with us.)
The Freshmen Pathways allows the user to study the relationship of First-Time Freshmen between California public colleges and California high schools between 1992 and 2006. A "conduit" or "pathway" exists between high schools and colleges. Feeder high schools and high schools that consistently send a larger number of students to specific colleges are identified as having large conduits or pathways.
Users can select any public college on the list, or search for any high school using the search function. Selecting a college will show all high schools that sent students over the past 15 years. Searching for, and selecting a high school will show all colleges where the students attended as First-Time Freshmen. System-wide data are also available with or without aggregation by high school.
Submit any comments or questions to Data_Request@cpec.ca.gov or fill out the Comments form. Sign up to be notified when this data is updated. To see a similar report on community college transfers to public colleges and universities, see Transfer Pathways.
